What if we don't know yet what the movie should look like?
That's actually the norm. Very few people have a fully formed concept in mind when they reach out. That's exactly what the briefing is for. We're clarifying three things: Who the film is intended to reach. Where it will be shown. What we want viewers to take away from it. That's how the concept takes shape. So you don't need to know what the film will look like. You need to know what you want to achieve with it. I'll translate the rest into images.
Who owns the footage, and how are we allowed to use the film?
You can use the finished video without restriction—anytime, anywhere, and on all your own channels: website, LinkedIn, trade shows, and internally. These rights are included in the price, with no need for subsequent sublicensing. I'll keep the raw footage and archive it. You'll receive the final edit. If you need a different version later, the footage will still be available and we can re-edit it.
What about guests' privacy rights and data protection?
When I'm on location, I work with consideration and in compliance with the GDPR. Anyone who visibly does not want to be in the shot will not be included or will be removed during editing. This is standard practice in event videography. The organizer is legally responsible for obtaining consent and managing the right to one's own image. We'll go over what to keep in mind together before the event.
Do you work alone, or is there someone to back you up in an emergency?
I’m a sole proprietor, but I’m not working alone. I handle the shoot myself. If something comes up at the last minute, I’ll arrange for a replacement from my trusted network of videographers, including a briefing, so that the substitute arrives at your location fully prepared. So your appointment is set, even if something comes up on my end.
How soon will I receive the finished film?
You'll receive the final edited video within three to five business days after the event. If you need individual clips sooner—for example, for a timely follow-up post on LinkedIn—we'll discuss it beforehand, and I'll deliver them early. So your appointment is set, even if something comes up on my end.
Can I combine event videography and event photography?
Yes. I offer both photography and video services under one roof. One briefing, one visual style, one point of contact. You won't have to coordinate two service providers, and your photos and video will complement each other perfectly in the end. So your appointment is set, even if something comes up on my end.
